Sounds like a good idea, mind you? if I'm comming by barge it will be a long voyage, I don't think there is wide beam access to the Severn from Shardlow.? That would mean a voyage via:- River Trent then the Fosse Navigation then across the wash and round the Essex coast into the Thames to Reading then the Kennet & Avon into the Severn estuary........ Phew! :o

If you are going to take that sort of trip, I could book some time off work, you could pick me up at Reading and I could come up with you.

Other than that, if we arrange a meet, I'll drive and if it's easier for you, we could drive up from Reading together?

That sounds a possibility, but not sure if it's on yet, might do it by car, I will decide nearer the date, it's early days yet.
