curtain poles
« on: May 30, 2005, 06:29:11 PM »
Hi my name is Martin, I have been involved in the construction of steel barges and narrow boats for over thirty years.  I am currently producing curtan poles specially designed to fit into boats, they have finials of various styles IE baskets Fleur de lays etc they are hand crafted out of wrought iron and are made to order, I have been told that they are something different from what has been available up to date.  Details of price and a photograph will be forwarded upon receipt of your email.

Hi Martin,

Might I suggest a small website, or at the very least a link to somewhere with images and a guide to prices?

Thanks,
Tony  :)

I agree, a web site with samples of your work should generate more interest.

Most ISP's provide free web space with your account.

It doesn't have to be anything fancy, just a few pages with pictures, descriptions and a price guide.

Hi Martin,

I could help with the Web Site if you like, examples of my work are the Iron Dutchess Web site and both Ricochet Narrow Boats and Goldwater boats Web sites linked to from there, and of course this forum in part. There are more but that's enough to give you an idea.? Provided it's only a few pages with no fancy scripting to be done, I'll do it for free.? I also have special Web promotion software to get your site a high ranking in the search engines.

Let me know if I can help.

PS: Have you tried contacting the DBA to see if you can get an article in their quarterly magazine "Blue Flag"?

Also there will be several barges meeting up on August 6th & 7th at Trent Bridge Nottingham for the Nottingham Riverside Festival Weekend. I'll be there with Iron Dutchess, it may be worth a visit.
